The “BRH Bundesverband Rettungshunde e.V.” contracted us as full-service partner to develop a clothing and product concept including realisation and online distribution.
Objectives of the project:
In cooperation with the BRH and due to the requirement analysis, we have created a concept with the components product, brand and fulfilment. Functionality and the realisation of the corporate design were important for the development of the products.
The BRH assigned us with all the services concerning the products – from the development and production to the marketing/distribution, packing, logistics and IT/E-commerce. We were responsible for the complete processing and project management.
The approximately 70 chairpersons of the relay teams can order the products for the 1700 active members directly via the new online shop http://shop.bundesverband-rettungshunde.de. The order authorisation is regulated by an individual user and authorisation concept. At the moment there are the following categories in the shop: clothing, footwear, backpacks, bags & accessories, lighting, equipment for dogs and accessories.
The first project step has been completed. We will develop the shop further - continuously and with flexibility. We operate the shop professionally on behalf of the customer including everything which is needed – from the orders over the warehousing to the shipping and the payments as well as the after-sales-service. The members have a fixed contact person at wb compagnie.
The BRH is the biggest and oldest German rescue dog association. 72 relay teams throughout Germany with almost 2,000 active members having 536 certificated rescue dogs, with a further 795 dogs being trained. The core competences are area and rubble search. The BRH relay teams in Baden-Württemberg, Saxony as well as in Schleswig-Holstein and North-Rhine Westphalia are integrated in the respective state emergency response.
As umbrella organization, the BRH is responsible for the following tasks:
On average, a BRH member provides more than 350 hours a year for training and operations on a voluntary basis. The BRH functionaries also work without payment. Only the staff member in the office and the commercial as well as the technical director in the training centres are employed.
In 2011, the relay teams participated in 684 operations, mainly involving the searching for demented/disoriented/suicidal persons, playing children or accident victims. In 55 of those operations the missing person was found by the rescue dogs. The operations are for the person who raises the alarm as well as for the person being searched for free of cost.
